I'm finding that, having taken Kent Dybvig's course, I can somewhat convincingly fake being a C person (and an x86 assembly person). It's a remarkable realization.
What did Dan give Kent for his C score? Was it a 9? ...
Something about how he's seen very few people with a 9 for both Scheme and C? ...
I think Dan said that Kent was the only person he could think of with a 9 for both.

You should dig up and read the book by Andre Alexandrescu on template metaprogramming in C++. Around chapter 5 he rederives Lisp at compile time. It's great fun. | |
