Christine lyceum_arabica and Mark tristmasjedi have temporarily joined Alex oniugnip's and my household. They brought their cats, so between theirs and ours, there's now pretty much a cat everywhere you look. Christine seems to be allergic to the laundry detergent that her clothes were inadvertently washed in, so she's making new clothes; she just came downstairs wearing a beautiful shirt that didn't exist an hour ago.
Alex got a wireless card for our living room media machine. A few minutes ago he was sitting on the couch, holding a keyboard in his lap and happily vimming on the TV. Now he seems to be reading over my shoulder while eating a handful of cold spaghetti.
Today I had my photo taken for a profile thing that will appear on the forthcoming new website of the IU School of Informatics and Computing, or whatever we're called this week. The photographer, an obvious bike person, didn't want me to take my bike bag off or even set down my bike helmet! "I take a lot of pictures of business-school students," she said. "You guys are a different breed." I think the photo will turn out well.
I'm one final exam and one final project report away from being done with classes for the year, and very nearly done with classes forever. Then I'll have a precious two weeks to do research, and then I'm heading to Ithaca. Hooray!
