It's not clear which I'm more proud of.

This evening, I made:

  • My last lab report for P545, which is also, modulo some reading that I still haven't caught up with, my last homework assignment of 2009. I now have code that can navigate the golf cart around obstacles, sort of. (Also, I can use gnuplot. (Sort of.))
  • These. They're supposed to be my twice-yearly finals-week gift to the Grinnell computer science department (which is what I always do instead of donating money to the school as a whole), but Alex and I stole a few for ourselves. Indeed, if they don't turn solid enough to throw in a box and ship to the next state, we may be left with no choice but to eat them all.

The cookies have arrived!

I took them around to all of the labs and offices on the CS floor, left the ones that remained in our common room, and put up pointers on the whiteboards in the labs and the hallway. Everyone that I offered them to took one, and Vida Praitis, who is team-teaching a bioinformatics course with Sam Rebelsky this semester, reminded us again how proud we should be to have such an alumna who so regularly remembers the frantic obsessives in the MathLAN lab during Finals Week. As always, thanks and all the best from the CS students and faculty at Grinnell College.

Re: The cookies have arrived!

You're welcome! (Hooray! They tend to get there so much faster these days, now that there aren't any pesky mountains between me and Grinnell.)
