Mattress is neither created nor destroyed.

When Wren winterkoninkje left Portland to go to grad school, I bought his bed for $100. After that, my old mattress and box spring sat in the basement of Happy House for a year, displacing Paul stereotype441's bike.

Of course, I still hadn't gotten rid of them when it was time for me to leave Portland to go to grad school, and so they came to Bloomington with me. Now that they were in my way instead of Paul's, I was finally motivated to get rid of them, and today I sold them on craigslist -- for $100.

Actually, the buyer -- someone from the cognitive science department -- talked me down to $100 from $200! Stupid cognitive scientists and their stupid knowledge of my brain.

I'm sure none of you can tell how much I secretly like how this all turned out.
