Mattress is neither created nor destroyed. [Oct. 15th, 2008|08:11 pm]
Lindsey Kuper

When Wren winterkoninkje left Portland to go to grad school, I bought his bed for $100. After that, my old mattress and box spring sat in the basement of Happy House for a year, displacing Paul stereotype441's bike.

Of course, I still hadn't gotten rid of them when it was time for me to leave Portland to go to grad school, and so they came to Bloomington with me. Now that they were in my way instead of Paul's, I was finally motivated to get rid of them, and today I sold them on craigslist -- for $100.

Actually, the buyer -- someone from the cognitive science department -- talked me down to $100 from $200! Stupid cognitive scientists and their stupid knowledge of my brain.

I'm sure none of you can tell how much I secretly like how this all turned out.

OK, this has nothing to do with your post at all, but this was the only contact info I have for you! This is Jess P.--we met at Ginny's wedding--the one who lived next door to Maya for a year in SAI. I saw Maya at an SAI gathering last night and she told me you are in BLOOMINGTON! I AM TOO!

We should totally hang out or at least exch contact info...are you on facebook? i hate to put up personal contact info in a public place, but i'll give you a hint as to my email address: it's my first name, then a dot, then my last name, which starts with P, ends in S, and has RU in the middle, and then it's at gmail.com. So maybe drop me an email and we can hang out! I really enjoyed getting to you know you at the wedding and I just moved there in May so I don't know all that many people yet either. :) so excited!
