Audaciously hopeful. [Mar. 21st, 2008|06:06 pm]

Rally for Change

See this? This is how many Oregonians show up to a Barack Obama rally with two days' notice at seven-thirty in the morning on a work day.

There were three older ladies sitting next to me up in the nosebleed section, and his speech today had all of them tearing up. I was tearing up, too, actually.

And when he said, when he actually said the words

I'm tired of a president who doesn't believe in science.

I was on my feet and screaming before I knew what was going on.

I've said those EXACT words so many times. but that's probably cuz i'm in grad school and forging a career somewhat contingent on a government that believes in what i do. could there yet be hope?!

Sorry I missed you! My friend got there at 3am and saved us a place in line. We were in the 4th row, and wow. I've never been to a political rally before. The speech was amazing.
