On Tuesday night, around 10:30 p.m., Matt mattgifford IMed me a link to a web page. It didn't say "ALL TICKETING IS CLOSED" at that time. Ticketing was open. I signed up. I got a ticket. But then I told Matt that I didn't think I would be able to go, because I was supposed to be at work.
Matt made an indelicate comment about what I could do with my work.
On Wednesday morning, tickets ran out. On Wednesday night, I told Paul stereotype441 that I had a ticket, but I probably wouldn't go, because I was supposed to be at work.
Paul just looked at me and shook his head sadly.
That's when I decided: fuck it. If I can give money, then I can give a few hours of my time. This might be my one chance to see Barack Obama speak1, and I'm not going to waste it because of my dumb computer job.
