5.2 miles, and I'm still feeling pretty good. I just have to keep stretching.

The Silversun Pickups album...man. It really is just like everyone says. I don't know when I've heard anyone trying harder to sound like the Pumpkins -- and I've heard a lot of people try very hard. People are pointing out how "Melatonin" sounds like something off off Adore, and I can't help adding that it's also a retread of the "Starla" bass line. Not that this combination bothers me. In fact, it's "really freaking good". I mean, this is the album that I wish the Pumpkins could have made in 2007. It's just kind of hilarious. Even aside from the music, there's the whole three-dudes-and-a-chick-bassist thing, or the fact that the two band names have an edit distance of, like, three.

Tomorrow, I'm going running in New York!
