Well, today was the first official day of the marathon program.

I ran three miles (accompanied by the first eight and a half songs on the second Garbage album), and it went well. The only frustrating thing about it was that I couldn't run my usual route, because as dumb as this sounds, I don't know how long my usual route is. Instead, I have to run the routes that the cross-country team here has worked out distances for, which kind of sucks, because I like my usual route. Ah well.

I'm also going to run three miles tomorrow and Thursday, and over the weekend a six-mile run. Right now the plan is to avoid running on Friday, because the high that day is supposed to be 7 degrees F. Seven! Luckily, next week it warms up to a balmy 24.
