Y'know, I think a lot of folks in the US consider Latin America to be more culturally conservative than we are, but I don't see any giant condoms on the Washington Monument, do you? Completely different issue, but Brazil seems pretty progressive, too.

You should see Brazil's policies towards AIDS treatment and prevention and how they work hand-in-hand with sex workers. It's staggering how progressive they are. It's also staggering how bad their AIDS problem is.

I read a little about that while Googling to write this post. Brazil has it more under control than Argentina, though, or especially some of the Caribbean.
