I was catching up on some old Vines today:

If you were truly single, and were like, "Should I buy the house now or wait and see if I get engaged in the next year?" I'd be like, "Pfft. Buy it." But there are two of you in this relationship, and I'll tell you the same thing I tell people who write in all, "But I don't want to be the kind of girl who moves for a man!", namely that there are worse reasons to do things than because you love somebody. It doesn't make you dependent or unfeminist. It makes you hopeful and good at sharing.

Emphasis mine.

Hey, you read Tomato Nation also? Nice :).

What she's stating is pretty much common sense to me. It always bothers me how, on sites like Indiebride and so forth, you have women who are lashing themselves into paroxysms of guilt because OMG they're actually considering staying home with the kids, or something like that. I mean, they WANT to do it, they have a plan for making it work yet somehow have bought into the idea that doing anything that makes them remotely dependent on other people is capital-B Bad.

Yeah, I know! Feminism's about doing for yourself, not about always doing the opposite of what you presume a man would want you to do. Heh.
