I've written a poem to commemorate this occasion.

Sugar is sweet,
The XO is wild,
I've got my laptop,
Can I have your child?

File that one under "unclear on the acronym's concept."

(Seriously though, I lol'd. ;)

That is one sweet photoset.
Aw yeah, the squishy green keyboard computer.

Unfortunately, the little squishy green keyboard is kind of hard for adult-sized hands to deal with. I'm slightly bummed, because I don't remember it being this way when I got to play with an XO back in December. Come to think of it, though, I guess I wouldn't have noticed, because I was helping someone with her code and I was being careful to let her do the typing.

Is XO the face you make when you open electronics?

I think I look like this: 8P

Ha! Possibly!

I just noticed that the textured plastic of the case has a little "XO" pattern around the edges. *splooge*

What's neat is, I'm a lousy, terrible stonking coder, on the rare occasions that I attempt to code. But, I'm a teacher by profession, and I just couldn't imagine myself in my office, 20 years from now, as a professor of education, without having an original XO on my bookcase, to pull out and show off...

I don't think you have to be any kind of coder to enjoy this thing. I'll probably figure out how to develop for it eventually, but I'm having fun just using it, for now.
