Congrats!

Narita is one of the worst-designed airports in the world, so be sure to ask someone where the customs gate is. Also, watch for the sign on the right side of the plane as your taxi into the gate. It says, "NARITA OUT OF TOKYO."

Youkosou nihon he, indeed. hee.

Thanks for the tips! It seems we'll have a good vantage point for things on the right side of the plane.

(I'm kinda hoping nobody claims that window seat next to us. It's a long flight and I'm going to want to stretch my sore-from-running legs out.)

A fitting way to celebrate Maya's Birthday. JK.

Long flights aren't so bad when you have someone to snuggle. May the trip be much fun, and at least as romantic as "Lost in Translation"!

We're actually celebrating your birthday by running the marathon.

Okay, now, in all seriousness, you really could not have chosen a more ill-fitting way to celebrate my birthday. A marathon commemorating my birthday would be the most ironic, and also worst, marathon ever. It would take place in the George W. Bush Memorial Nature Preserve . . . on treadmills.

I just had to throw some J-land moon language in there...
