SNDC: it's pretty awesome! [Jan. 14th, 2008|12:35 pm]
Lindsey Kuper

Hey! If you enjoy stereotype441, spacecowboytom, dan_o_m, jonatthebar, sherwooddotnu, lindseykuper, or food, then why aren't you reading sndc? And if you're in Portland, then why aren't you at SNDC?

I mean, seriously. How could you say no to this?

10/21/2007: at SNDC

Seriously.

Sarah and I have been talking about setting up something similar here, but we just don't know enough cool people :(

You could start with Samantha ms_nico_blue. Maybe she knows where the rest of the cool people are hiding.

Re: where the cool people are hiding

Darn it, Kevin, you're not helping the "cool people sometimes enjoy living in places other than Portland" cause.

you're talking about me *giggle*

Erm, i know some cool people in Colorado AND Portland. The problem with the cool people here is that I have a hard time getting them to do anything cool. It's weird.

Re: where the cool people are hiding

I understand, on an intellectual level, that it is good to have cool people enjoying living in places other than Portland. There are many resources in this world that are not in Portland, and if they were managed exclusively by non-cool people, or even by cool people who were chronically displeased with their environment, the world would be a worse place for it.

However, I personally find it to be very inconvenient. For who can count the number of times this has happened to me, or one of my fellow Portland residents?

"Hello, Cool Person. Would you like to join me tomorrow for refreshments or to collaborate on this work of our mutual interest?"

"I would, dear Portlander, for I do enjoy your company and I feel our collaboration and/or make-out sessions would be much more productive were we in physical proximity! However, we are separated by a distance and to cross it would take a significant portion of our financial and/or temporal resources."

If you wish, however, you may buy my support for your cause. Please send your tastiest baked goods by express mail to me (in Portland).
