nine to go [Jan. 3rd, 2008|05:27 pm]
Lindsey Kuper

As of today, I've been at my job for one year. I know a lot more than I did a year ago about character encodings, XML, QTI, Perl, Subversion, pointers, data structures, parameter validation, polymorphism, system-building, merciless refactoring, and making machines do what I want. Also I shipped most of these.

I know less than I did a year ago about CSS. It seems like a fair trade.

God, character encodings.

The only thing in the world that makes me want to say "Let's just all speak English."

I don't actually know a lot about character encodings. Just a lot more than I did a year ago.

I know enough to hate them.

about CSS

I only just recently stumbled across the fact that the W3C has published a CSS 2.1. (Or 21, as they say.)
