That should cover up until April, anyway!

I was only a scalar until I got some direction!

Look out, keep that shit up and you might find yourself a list.
I'm already a list. EVERYTHING IS.

Or a hash!
I'm accumulating cuties from across the nation,
Pull 'em in like neighbors in a Delaunay triangulation,
I got hoes from different area codes and IP ranges,
Swap 'em round like VMMs making page exchanges,
Yeah I round 'em up like
ceil() and I add 'em to my stable
And I offer them a spliff from off my hash table.
There ain't nothin' sexier than a fine-lookin' girl who writes some fine-lookin' code.
Oh, Monzy :)
We'd better not tell him that I have no idea what a Delaunay triangulation is.
They have the wireless in Houston, apparently? :)
On the planes I read I Am a Strange Loop, which is making me very happy. From what I remember of GEB, it's a little more colloquial and a lot more personal, and I keep getting little thrills of shared experience. I know how it feels to make myself run faster by force of will, and I know how it feels to be five years old and genuinely sad that it's about to turn 1988 because 9-8-7 is a more interesting pattern, and I keep exclaiming to myself, I've done that, I've felt that, I read to my sister that way when we were fourteen. I'm up to chapter 9, and just about to start the part about number theory, it looks like -- but I really didn't want to read about number theory on the plane from Houston. (I want to read about number theory on the train from Prague. But "on the bed in Portland" will be acceptable.)
Which marathon are you running?
, with oniugnip
, on my birthday.
You comin' down to Georgia to run it with us?
Oh! That was the marathon I was originally planning to do this spring! Then I heard some negative comments about the way in which it was organized; after the fiasco that was the 2007 Chicago marathon, I'm shying away from large marathons with organizational issues. I'm doing the Cincinnati Flying Pig Marathon
on May 4th. I'd consider dropping that to do Atlanta w/you, but I've been a lump on the couch for the past couple of months and I don't think I'll be back in marathon-running shape by March 30th.
There's still time, if you want to do it -- I just started officially training yesterday!
I'm nervous about organizational issues, too, but I figure it can't get any worse than the Lakeshore in 2005
. Also, running with someone should help.
Last year, I only did the half for this one. The organization wasn't great (this was the first year they did it) -- but the race happened, and we seem to have at least run the right distance!
My particular issues about it were that packet pickup was a bit of a mess, and the start took a really long time to get started because the area was so crowded. However! The course is different this year (with a new start/finish location!), and they'll hopefully tighten things up otherwise...
So, like, um, how tentative is the In Japan again?
'Cause, like, my calendar totally forgot to remind me of that... anytime recently...
